Doktorand:innen-Stelle in der Biophysikalischen Chemie und Diagnostik der Universität Bielefeld mit einem Fokus auf Photoenzymen. In der Arbeitsgruppe Biophysikalische Chemie und Diagnostik arbeiten wir an der Schnittstelle zwischen der Medizinischen Fakultät OWL und der Fakultät für Chemie in einem interdisziplinären Team. Ziel dieses Projekts ist die Entwicklung von Photoenzymen im Kontext der medizinischen Chemie und die Aufklärung deren Funktionsweise. The CATALOOP network aims at the development of powerful and readily applicable workflows for data-driven development of stereoselective catalysis. It brings together academic research groups with expertise in experimental catalyst development with theoretical groups skilled in computational and data-driven chemistry in order to develop new catalytic asymmetric reactions. World-leading industrial partners with a wide range of interests will provide advice on which approaches may have the most impact on industry and will host the students in secondments. Students will be assigned experimental and theoretical supervisors and be trained to a minimum level of proficiency in both aspects. A PhD Position at TU BAF is to be filled as of July 2025 (13 TV-L, 0.5 FTE, with option for an increased share, 3 years, with option for extension). As part of a project, electrochemically addressable, micro- and nanostructured polymer interfaces are to be produced and their electrochemical switching behavior investigated. EpiSignal aims to increase the understanding of how the complex networks of cell and epigenome signaling systems interact at the molecular level and determine cell responses and phenotypes during normal cell development but also in the progression of diseases such as cancer. PhD Position – CO2 sequestration and development of new, low-carbon cementitious binders through mineral carbonation of industrial, mining and demolition wastes. (Laboratory of Materials and Durability of Constructions (LMDC) - INSA Toulouse - Université de Toulouse - FRANCE). The PhD student will integrate the French National Research Program Carbiocem at the LMDC Laboratory and will be responsible for the physico-chemical characterization of both, raw materials and carbonated by-products materials. He/she will further conduct abiotic carbonation trials in order to determine desired properties of carbonated cementitious. Furthermore he/she will screen the cementitious reactivity of the carbonated materials of all partners of the project and participate in the formulation and testing of low-carbon cementitious binders based on carbonated waste materials. Common techniques to be applied are XRD, FTIR/Raman, TGA, SEM, NMR and calorimetric measurements. Two PhD positions for In-Cell Structural Biology or Proximity-based Drug Discovery at the Technical University Darmstadt. The first project will investigate FKBP-Hsp90-steroid hormone receptor complexes by large-scale, site-specific, in-cell photo-crosslinking. The aim is to unravel key states and interactions partners of FKBP51, a key target for depression, obesity-induced diabetes and pain. The second project will identify and characterize molecular glues and validate them in relevant cellular cancer models. Job offerings on this website will be posted for free on these websites if they reach us via E-Mail. The job list Universities and Research Institutes is published weekly, usually on Fridays.
Please send the text of your job advertisement to karriere@gdch.de and insert it right into the Mail or attach it as an .rtf-file. Please do not send PDF files! In order to avoid further inquiries from our sides please do also indicate whether the publication should be online only or additionally in the “Nachrichten”, our monthly member’s magazine.
The ad should have no more than 1.100 characters including blanks, or 1.500 characters if several positions are announced in one ad. We reserve the right to shorten longer texts without notifying the advertiser. Please do not send us a designed advertisement! However, you can of course link to the complete announcement on your website.
Deadline for the submission is Friday noon (12pm) or the last working day in the week (in case of public holidays).
To provide job seekers a quick overview, the first line of the advertisement should name the vacant position (e.g., doctoral or postdoctoral position, professorship, etc.) and the institute or university with the vacancy (e.g. "Doctoral position/professorship available at the Institute for xxx of yyy University" – please see sample texts). Please also mention the application deadline and give the address for applications at the end of the ad. Shorter adverts will thereby rank higher on the list than longer and more complex ones.
Should you additionally want to publish your announcement in “Nachrichten aus der Chemie”, you have two options:
1. The individual job advert with graphics, logos etc: Choosing this option you can decide on the layout and text length yourself. For examples for individual ads take a look at our online job market “Industry and public service”. Prices vary according to the ad’s size. more
2. A small ad in form of a continuous text without graphics, logos. etc: You can choose to publish the same announcement as from the list “Universities and Research Institutes” additionally as a small ad in the “Nachrichten”. For a small ad in print we charge EUR 150,- (+ tax). Please mention in your mail if you want an additional publication in the “Nachrichten”.
