Working Group Young Food Chemists (WG JLC)

Mission Statement

WG JLC is a working group / the youth organisation of the Food Chemistry Division (LChG) in the German Chemical Society (GDCh).

We represent students and doctoral researchers in the field of food chemistry at German universities. Our aim is to champion the interests of early-career scientists locally and promote communication between universities. To achieve this goal, we are constantly expanding our established information network and seeking to encourage as many students as possible to get involved in the LChG. We also want to raise awareness of the food chemist profession and thereby improve career prospects.
