The GDCh provides teachers with a wealth of useful information. You can get involved in the Division of Chemical Education (FGCU). In addition, continuing professional development for teachers is a high priority within the GDCh’s range of activities.

Teacher training

The GDCh, together with the Division for Chemical Education and the Chemical Industry Fund, supports a wide-ranging programme of courses for chemistry teachers at seven training centres. The courses are run by chemistry education specialists, subject scientists and practising teachers.

GDCh Abitur Prize

The Abitur Prize is an award from the GDCh for the best chemistry students at grammar schools or comprehensive schools.

GDCh Graduation Award

The GDCh Graduation Award is a distinction awarded by the GDCh to graduates of chemistry-related training programmes such as chemical-technical assistants (CTA), chemical laboratory technicians or chemical engineering technicians.

Student laboratories offer hands-on experiences in research in the natural sciences and technical subjects, allowing participants to touch, try things out and understand.
