Cooperation and International Activities

Cooperation and International Activities

The GDCh participates in discussions and activities at national and international level in a wide variety of ways. At national level, this primarily involves topic-based cooperation with associated professional societies. In an international context, the closer integration of European chemical societies with the aim of creating a common European research area in chemistry is just as important to the GDCh as close cooperation with our partners outside Europe. To achieve these objectives, the GDCh actively contributes to the work of the European and international umbrella organisations for chemistry.

Charitable activities

In its statutes, the GDCh has also defined as an objective “support for members in need and their dependants or surviving dependants within the meaning of Section 53 of the German Fiscal Code (AO)”. It therefore also pursues charitable purposes.
