working group feed

The working group was founded in 2003. The reason for its foundation was less the existence of a very specific issue than the realisation that this area, traditionally part of the field of activity of food chemists, had so far received too little attention from the LChG.

Another factor behind the new activities was, of course, the emphasis placed by the European and national legislators in the recent past on the close connection between food and feed.

The focus of the working group is on topics that link feed and food, such as food and feed law issues and questions relating to feed analysis.

Members

The working group currently has 14 members from the following areas:

  • Official monitoring
  • Independent testing laboratories
  • Universities
