Ernst and his essential contributions to the application of magnetic resonance in solution, in the solid state and its imaging, the Division for Magnetic Resonance awards the Ernst Award for an outstanding publication by an early-career researcher (up to the doctoral degree).

In honour of Felix Bloch, the MRD awards the Felix-Bloch Lectureship, which recognises outstanding achievements by more established early-career researchers over the past five years – demonstrated through scientific publications.

In honour of Albert W. Overhauser’s groundbreaking research, the FGMR has awarded the Albert-Overhauser Award since 2019. The award recognises an outstanding scientific publication by an early-career researcher (postdoc).
In honour of Otto Stern and in recognition of the life's work of internationally outstanding personalities in the field of magnetic resonance, the FGMR awards the Otto-Stern Award at irregular intervals.
