Working group 9 - Webseiten

Current status

The SEC website provides information about all SEC activities and services. It reflects our interests and encourages visitors to get involved with the SEC. The SEC website also serves as an archive.

Necessary changes are made almost daily in response to current developments. Changes and corrections are always discussed with the people responsible for the activity concerned, and with the SEC board where necessary.

Objectives

  • The foremost objective for the SEC webpages is to ensure that they are up to date and attractive.
  • Regular monitoring of visitor numbers
  • Continuously recruit new members

Planned projects

One focus in 2026 will be adapting the SEC webpages to the SEC flyer and the new structure of the working groups.

In 2026, the GDCh is also expected to switch from the Typo3 CMS (CMS = Content Management System) to another system. The people responsible for the SEC website (see below) will take part in training courses for the new system.

Continuation of the regular analysis of usage statistics

Intensive linking with the SEC newsletter and other SEC/GDCh publications

Planning meetings within the Board and on the Day of the Working Groups (11 June 26), perhaps a survey of selected and potential users

Members of the working group

Spokespersons: Wolfgang Gerhartz, Thomas Mühlenbernd, Eva E. Wille

Interested: Petra Schultheiss-Reimann, Hans-Günther Schmalz, Franz Schütz

Collaboration with GDCh Divisions

  • Links on the SEC webpages to activities of other GDCh Divisions are welcome.
  • In addition: The information on our webpages, which is accessible worldwide, must always be coordinated with the public relations activities of the GDCh (Dr. Karin Schmitz, Maren Mielck). Close collaboration with the GDCh digitalisation team is necessary (Maximilian Bräutigam, Alexander Lorey).
