Within the GDCh, the working group public relations strengthens the networks between Senior Expert Chemists (SEC) and the GDCh and promotes cooperation between SEC members through the following activities:
- Birthday letter. All GDCh members celebrating a milestone birthday between the ages of 60 and 70 receive a timely congratulatory email, which also promotes the activities of the SECs.
- SEC questionnaire. We have designed a questionnaire specifically for active senior chemists so that we can better align our activities with their expectations.
- Newsletter. Approximately four times a year, the SECs provide information about their projects and activities (SEC Newsletter).
- Excursions. The SEC Technology Tours visit interesting companies – usually combined with a cultural programme.
