Drug-based cancer therapy is a constantly expanding field in pharmaceutical research, with a wide range of active substance classes being used. Among the most important classes of cytostatics are natural products from a wide variety of biological sources, together with analogues and derivatives derived from them. The lecture will present these active substances, as well as the possibilities and limitations of producing them on an industrial scale.
