JuWöV - Young Wöhler Association

Youth organisation of the Wöhler Association for Inorganic Chemistry

Aims and responsibilities

The Young Wöhler Association – JuWöV – forms a national network for students and recent graduates (with up to three years’ professional experience) with an interest in inorganic chemistry.

Its core responsibilities include organising events across regions and working directly with the Board of the Wöhler Association for Inorganic Chemistry. In doing so, JuWöV not only addresses the challenges faced by young inorganic chemists in learning and disseminating new research methodologies, but also supports, to an equal extent, stronger networking among chemists with an interest in inorganic issues, thereby enabling exchange and the creation of a shared platform.

Participation and Membership

Committed members are involved in the work of the JuWöV through active participation in building up the JuWöV and organising events.

Through membership of the Wöhler Association and the GDCh, student and young members automatically become members of the JuWöV youth organisation.

Board

The JuWöV Board represents the interests of the student and young members of the Wöhler Association and is elected directly by them. The Board consists of the Chair, the Deputy Chair and up to three other members.
