The Division "Freelance Chemists and owners of free independent laboratories" awards the Martin Heinrich Klaproth Award. The award regulations govern the details as follows:

Award regulations for the Martin Heinrich Klaproth Award

§ 1 The Board of the Division Freelance Chemists and owners of free independent laboratories resolves to award a prize of the Division under the name Martin Heinrich Klaproth Award.

§ 2 The award shall be presented to individuals for innovative independent work in the field of freelance and / or entrepreneurial chemical activity. Nominations and applications are possible.

§ 3 The members of the Board of the Division form the jury. They decide by a simple majority.

§ 4 The award includes a certificate setting out the merits of the recipient. The prize money is set at 1,000 euros.

§ 5 The awardee reports on the work at the Division's annual conference.

The Division “Freelance Chemists and owners of free independent laboratories” (FFCh) is inviting applications for the Martin Heinrich Klaproth Award to be presented in 2027.

The award is intended for individuals in recognition of innovative independent work in the field of freelance and/or entrepreneurial chemical activity. The prize is endowed with €1,000. The award will be presented as part of Colloquium Chimicum 2027.
