Angewandte Chemie is one of the world’s most renowned specialist journals in chemistry and is a journal of the GDCh. The unique combination of outstanding review articles, Highlight contributions and Communications guarantees that every chemist can find, in a single journal, well-founded summaries of the latest and pioneering results from all major research fields as well as specialised, interdisciplinary subfields. The Nobel Prize lectures published annually are a cherished tradition; Nobel Prizes in medicine and physics are also frequently covered in addition to chemistry. For researchers in chemistry, “Angewandte”, whose leading international position is demonstrated by its high impact factor, is essential reading. The early volumes of the German edition (since 1887) and of the “International Edition in English” (since 1962) have been retrospectively digitised and are available electronically. The journal is published by Wiley-VCH.

Angewandte Chemie International Edition
Angewandte Chemie Novit is the GDCh’s “up-transfer journal”. The editors identify manuscripts with exceptionally strong peer-review results that were originally submitted to Angewandte Chemie. From these, a scientific committee selects the most outstanding contributions and invites the authors to publish their work in Angewandte Chemie Novit via “upward transfer”. This multi-stage selection process for manuscripts sets a new standard in scholarly publishing. Angewandte Chemie Novit is an open-access journal: all articles are freely accessible and can be read, downloaded and shared free of charge. Like Angewandte Chemie, Angewandte Chemie Novit is published by Wiley-VCH.
