This lecture will explore the role of heteroarenes in photo-mediated functionalizations, highlighting their versatility as both catalysts and key reagents. Special focus will be placed on recent advancements in hydrofunctionalization reactions and radical-based C–H bond cleavage, utilizing light-driven processes.
