Nanoparticles for drug delivery with a drug load as high as possible and base-metal nanoparticles with a reactivity similar to bulk cesium differentiate substantially in composition and properties. The key for successful synthesis is nevertheless the same: controlling nucleation and growth. The presentation will focus on nanoparticle synthesis as well as on reactive metal nanoparticles for fundamental chemistry and high-load drug nanoparticles for tumor treatment.
