GDCh and CCS Sign Extended Collaboration Agreement

On October 13, 2025, the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Beijing, extending their existing collaboration for an additional five years, from 2025 to 2030.

This partnership, signed by GDCh President Prof. Dr. Stefanie Dehnen and Managing Director Dr. Tom Kinzel, alongside CCS President Prof. Li-Jun Wan and Deputy Secretary General Dr. Chunmei Deng, aims to strengthen ties between the Chinese and German chemistry communities.

The collaboration focuses on enhancing public awareness of chemistry's importance in addressing global challenges. Key initiatives will include organizing joint symposia, promoting career opportunities, offering discounted conference registrations for members, and facilitating research collaborations. GDCh and CCS also plan to negotiate an extension of their partnership beyond 2030 to continue fostering these valuable exchanges.
